STUDENT-TEACHERS' EXPERIENCES OF HYBRID LISTENING CLASS
This study aims to explore students' experiences in hybrid listening class, the experience was based on students previous listening hybrid learning period. The qualitative research method with a narrative inquiry approach was used in this study. The participants were 8 students from 5 semester of a private university in Indonesia. Interviews and student reflections were used to collect the research data. Thematic analysis was used to analyze the data. The findings showed that students demonstrated many positive experience engagements while learning listening in hybrid period. There were three experience engagements told by the students, those were behavioral, emotional, and cognitive engagement experiences. The finding described that students' behavioral engagement in hybrid learning was balance. However, for some activities like noticing the lecturer's explanation, class participation (asking question, and giving comment) were more active in offline session. In addition, for emotional experience engagement most of them enjoyed the hybrid listening class, one of the reasons is because they did not go to college every week and having a vacant time per a week. While for cognitive engagement experience like having planning, efforts, strategies, challenges and student achievements they had the high cognitive engagement experience while offline session. It was because in offline session students faced the class activity directly, so there must be many extra cognitive engagements that they did
